ABOUT ABBOTTS CARES

Our mission to help people & property recover from disaster extends beyond property damage. When we ask ourselves why we do what we do, it’s because of the people. People are the heart of our business. And we recognize that extraordinary events require extraordinary service. This has driven us to give back to our community. We support our local police and fire departments, veteran’s programs, and even volunteer our time at Santa’s workshop for low income families. We are always looking for new ways to make a difference and give back to our community.

Maddox Chancey

Maddy’s Mission

Maddox (Maddy) Chancey is the son of Travis Chancey, Abbotts Founder and third-generation restoration professional. Born in 2006, he diagnosed with cerebral palsy (CP) soon after birth. CP is a group of disorders that affect a person’s ability to move and maintain balance and posture. CP is the most common motor disability in childhood. Cerebral means having to do with the brain. Palsy means weakness or problems with using the muscles. CP is caused by abnormal brain development or damage to the developing brain that affects a person’s ability to control his or her muscles. Cerebral Palsy does not affect a person’s intelligence.

Maddy is now 15 years old and wanting to contribute to the family business. His mission for Abbotts Cares is to touch, move and inspire us all to give back within our community. When we help others, it is an act of kindness that multiplies. As the ambassador for Abbotts Cares, Maddox reminds us that the world can use more kindness and people who enjoy giving to others.
