In Photos: Anatomy of a Ruptured Frozen Pipe

During one of this winter’s particularly harsh cold spells, a pipe froze and burst in an office building at the Coca Cola bottling plant on York Street in Denver.

frozen pipe, broken pipe, burst pipe, ruptured pipe, water damage

The pipe was in the ceiling upstairs, so the water from the ruptured frozen pipe intruded on the floors below, taking the entire building out of service. Abbotts was on the scene quickly, containing the water and beginning the drying process practically immediately. As a result, the damage was minimized and the building was only out of commission for a couple of days. When water damage occurs, time is critical. We get there fast and get right to protecting your property. A frigid night and a frozen pipe put a crimp on operations at the Coca Cola bottling plant.
