Reconstruction & Structural Repairs
Restoration contractors are very different from typical general contractors. Most general contractors focus on new construction and remodeling but do not have the knowledge, skills, tools or equipment to address reconstruction needs after a disaster. As a licensed General Contractor who is also a Certified Restoration Professional, Abbotts ensures nothing is overlooked. We understand the hazards of latent water damage and the lingering odor that can be caused by smoke that is not properly cleaned.
From the reconstruction of roofs and walls to the structural repairs of drywall and flooring, painting, electrical, plumbing, our team will ensure your damaged property is restored to a pre-loss condition. We work with you to make sure what goes back into your home has the appeal and preferences you choose and tradesmen are scheduled so that one person is not in another’s way to get you back to normal as quickly and as easily as possible.
Hiring multiple Denver home reconstruction contractors or tradesman can result in overlooked damage and additional problems down the road. With a full-service general contractor and licensed restoration firm like Abbotts, you are in the hands of a someone that truly understands each step of the process.
We work with ALL insurance providers.
Residential Reconstruction & Repairs
Your home is probably the most valuable possession you own. You will want to select a Denver residential reconstruction company that will help you save as much of the original structure as possible and mitigate your loss. Depending on the damage, qualified residential reconstruction contractors will use equipment like moisture meters and infrared cameras inspect the damage. This is especially important so you don’t develop another issue down the road like mold or hidden structural damage.
Find a Qualified Reconstruction Contractor
Reconstruction services require detailed knowledge about construction as well as property damage protocols and the insurance claims processes. Professional reconstruction contractors are licensed general contractors who are also certified in property damage mitigation and repair protocols. You will want to hire a reconstruction reconstruction contractor that provides free inspections and develops your reconstruction restoration estimate using industry-specific estimating software.
Reputation Matters
Background and Experience
Find a property reconstruction company who is highly regarded and has a solid reputation. Word of mouth remains one of the best ways to locate quality reconstruction contractors. It is a good idea, too, to check with the Better Business Bureau.
Trusted Advisors

Common Causes of Property Damage
What is the Property Damage Reconstruction Process?
Many people do not realize how complicated a property damage reconstruction project can be. After the emergency mitigation and cleanup is completed, then structural damaged can be assessed for repairs and reconstruction. For a small kitchen fire, for example, your project may need an electrician, a plumber, a countertop contractor, a cabinet contractor, a flooring pro, a painter, and someone to install appliances. Not to mention HVAC cleaning and possible odor control measures. That’s a lot of people. As a licensed general contractor, Abbotts coordinates all of these other professionals for you. Tradesmen are scheduled so that one person is not in another person’s way to get you back to normal as quickly and as easily as possible. We can also handle the moving, restoration and storage of your home’s contents and personal possessions. Finally, we also pull permits and coordinate necessary inspections, communicating with all the parties involved and keeping your property repairs progressing on time.

- Detailed inspection of damage
- Reconstruction plan developed & estimates approved

Answering Your Property Reconstruction Questions
How much will my repairs cost?
How much your repairs cost really depends upon the type and the extent of damage. Abbotts uses Xactimate® which independently establishes pricing guidelines. Xactimate® pricing is recognized and accepted as an industry standard by many of the largest insurers and a majority of all insurers. Every item performed on your reconstruction project is listed in detail and agreed upon by you as well as your adjuster so that there are no surprises. Deviations from the established pricing are documented for review and approval.
Can you bill my insurance directly?
Yes, we can bill your insurance company directly. We have working relationships with major insurance carriers and work with them to coordinate your coverage and our services as well as invoicing and payment. We will let you know what services, if any, are recommended but not covered by your insurance. In most cases, you will only be billed for your deductible.
What if I do not have insurance coverage for my loss?
We do take major credit cards and can work with you on the services. We also offer a variety of financing options. Also, ask us about our Relief Discount for uninsured damage.
